Not much is documented to the fact Jackson did Les Paul copies, because to copy a Les Paul was considered backwards by the metal kids, who had become accustomed to seeing whammy bars on everything. The Les Paul copy is non-trem, which would make it the first one Viv got, but not technically the first. The first was made by Steve Stern in assembly, a gifted luthier with woodworking experience prior to employment at Charvel, which most of the guys as you see in the pics, just wanted to work for the claim of association.
