The old Jackson serials log books

The first serialized Custom Shop guitars (1983-1985)

Almost every major rock or metal guitarist / bass player back in the 80's were customers at the Charvel / Jackson Custom Shop and many are listed in these old log pages made by the company.

Going through the logs, these prominent names pops up repeatedly:

Robbin Crosby (Ratt), K.K. Downing (Judas Priest), James Hetfield (Metallica), Gene Simmons (Kiss), Carlos Cavaso (Quiet Riot), Jeff Beck, Chris Holmes (W.A.S.P.), Brad Gillis (Night Ranger), Gary Pihl (Boston), Mike Anthony (Van Halen), Steve Vai, Jeff Pilson (Dokken), Steve Stevens, Amir Derakh - and the list goes on.

The logs can be used to see the original configuration of a guitar when it left the factory - in case you need to verify one of these guitars today. Also, it's a great read for the interested and funny how you keep finding your old guitar heroes in there. On the right are all the pages listed - click on them and a new window opens.

The Jackson Randy Rhoads model, officially introduced in April 1983, was given a special serialization of RRxxxx and were not part of these log pages.
